The Broadway Lighting Master Classes
What Is It: The Broadway Lighting Master Classes (BLMC) is a three-day event bringing Broadway’s top lighting designers together to discuss the creative, technical, and practical challenges involved in lighting for the Great White Way. The event includes a ticket to a Broadway show, 10-12 sessions, continental breakfasts, lunches, and a networking reception.
Where Is It: Baryshnikov Arts Center, 450 W. 37 Street, New York City.
When Is It: May 31-June 3, as part of the week-long Live Design Broadway Master Classes (lighting, projection, scenic, and sound). The event kicks off on Friday evening, May 31 with a performance of Lucky Guy, starring Tom Hanks and featuring lighting by Jules Fisher and Peggy Eisenhauer, at the Broadhurst Theatre (235 W. 44 Street). The actual classes will take place June 1-3. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS TO LUCKY GUY; THE REDUCTION IN PRICE IS REFLECTED BELOW.
Who Is On The Faculty: Legendary lighting designer Jules Fisher (Assassins, 9 to 5, Ragtime) serves as the creative consultant. Confirmed speakers this year include lighting designers Brian MacDevitt, Robert Wierzel, Jeff Croiter, Jason Lyons, Jane Cox, Justin Townsend, Don Holder, and Bev Emmons; scenic designers Santo Loquasto, Donyale Werle, David Korins, and Derek McLane; and projection designer Wendall Harrington.

What Is It: The Broadway Projection Master Classes (BPMC) is an intensive one-day event bringing Broadway’s top projection designers, content creators, and technical gurus together to discuss the creative, technical, and practical challenges involved in putting together projection design for Broadway. The full day includes continental breakfast, lunch, and 4-5 sessions.
Where Is It: NYU’s Tisch School of the Arts, 721 Broadway, New York City
When Is It: Tuesday, June 4, 2013, as part of the week-long Live Design Broadway Master Classes (lighting, sound, scenic, and projection).
Who Is On The Faculty: Projection designer Zachary Borovay (Evita, Rock of Ages, Elf ) serves as the creative consultant. Confirmed speakers this year include projection designers Batwin + Robin, Daniel Brodie, and Michael Kohler.

The event includes approximately 8 sessions, a ticket to the Broadway musical Matilda, continental breakfasts and lunches.
Where Is It: NYU's Tisch School Of The Arts, 721 Broadway, NYC
When Is It: Tuesday-Thursday, June 4-6, 2013, as part of the week-long Live Design Broadway Master Classes (lighting, sound, scenic, and projection). The event kicks off the evening of June 4 with a performance of Matilda, making it a two-plus day event. The classes themselves run June 5-6. PLEASE NOTE THAT THERE ARE NO MORE TICKETS TO MATILDA; THE REDUCTION IN PRICE IS REFLECTED BELOW.
