Concert Sound Master Classes

 

What Is It: The Concert Sound Master Classes bring together leading FOH engineers and top audio professionals to discuss the creative, technical, and practical challenges encountered on concert tours, as well as the architecture of the rig, line arrays, digital consoles, and life on the road. The event includes approximately six sessions, continental breakfasts, and lunches, as well as private access to leading sound manufacturers on the LDI show floor.

Where Is It: The Las Vegas Convention Center as part of LDI2013, North America’s largest trade show and conference for the entertainment design & technology industry.

When Is It: November 22-23 as part of LDI2013 in Las Vegas. 

Who Is On The Faculty: Respected sound veterans Mark Johnson and Bill Platt serve as co-creative consultants for the CSMC. Speakers include Aaron Beck (Cirque du Soleil), Buford Jones (Meyer Sound), Steve Bush (Meyer Sound), Tim Vear (Shure), legendary sound designer Abe Jacob, representatives of digital console manufacturers, and more.

Who Should Attend: Undergrad, grad, and post-grad students looking for additional training; working professionals looking to gain insight into the world of concert sound; anyone looking for networking opportunities with both established and rising audio professionals from around the world.
