Concert Lighting & Projection

What Is It: The Concert Master Classes is an immersive two-day event bringing the touring industry's top designers together to discuss lighting and projection design challenges for the world of concerts. The two days include up to 8 sessions, a networking reception, plus continental breakfasts and lunches.

Who Is On The Faculty: Lighting designer Jeff Ravitz (Bruce Springsteen) serves as creative consultant. Last year's speakers included: Marc Brickman (Roger Waters), John Broderick (Metallica), Cory FitzGerald (Bruno Mars), Peter Morse (Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain); imagery/media creators Raj Kapoor (Carrie Underwood, Shania Twain); Tim LaValley (Carly Rae Jepsen), Loren Barton (Nine Inch Nails); lighting designer/programmers Benoit Richard (Matchbox 20, Yes), Jason Badger (Springsteen), and Benny Kirkham (Shania Twain in Las Vegas); plus artist managers Wil Sharpe and Todd Cameron.

Who Should Attend: Undergrad, grad, and post-grad students looking for additional training; working professionals looking to gain additional insight; anyone looking for networking opportunities with both established and rising concert design professionals.

What Does It Cost For Professionals: The following rates are available for professionals: $495 through October 31, and $595 through the event.    

What Does It Cost For Students: The following rates are available for students: $325 through October 31, and $395 through the event.

How Can I Participate As A Sponsor: Lighting and projection manufacturers and other companies interested in reaching concert lighting and projection designers can sponsor the CMC at a variety of levels, from something as simple as mentoring a deserving student to a corporate sponsorship that enables you to show off your wares to both attendees and speakers.
